Double award win for Little Dreams Consulting

We are really excited to share the brilliant news that our clients Little Dreams Consulting have scooped a double award win in the last month!

News came in today, 13th June, that they had just won the “Pioneering Franchise of the Year Award” at the Disruptive Franchise Awards.

Last month they received the award for “New Woman Franchisor” at the EWiF (Encouraging Women into Franchising) Awards – an annual prestigious ceremony held at NatWest’s Bishopsgate event venue.

Little Dreams Consulting is a trusted consultancy specialising in sleep solutions for babies and children. Their dedicated team of experts work with exhausted parents across the UK, striving to ensure that everyone enjoys a restful night’s sleep. Utilising a behavioural approach, they offer comprehensive assistance to families with children ranging from 4 months to 10 years old, addressing their unique sleep challenges and providing invaluable support.

The business was founded by Jenna Wilson in 2016, who, following a career as a solicitor, trained as a sleep consultant while pregnant with her third child. Demand was such that in 2019 sleep consultant Fay Smith joined the business, and since then they haven’t looked back!

Jenna and Fay contacted Ashtons Franchise at the end of 2020 to help them franchise the business. They had researched franchising thoroughly and were drawn to Ashtons for their bfa (British Franchise Association) accreditation and for their partnership with law firm Ashtons Legal. Consultant Richard Langrick worked with them throughout 2021, until they were ready to launch in December of that year.

Fast forward to 2023, and, along with their franchisees,  they now provide sleep solutions to families in areas such as Birmingham, Bristol, Devon, Cornwall, Bath, Swindon, Chelmsford and Colchester. Jenna and Fay received their EWiF award on May 16th in London.

EWiF is a volunteer-led not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals interested in entering the franchising industry. They offer invaluable advice and guidance for those looking to either establish their own business or expand through franchising. EWiF has three main objectives: promoting female entrepreneurship by encouraging women to invest in franchising, advocating for existing businesses to adopt franchising models, and supporting franchisors in diversifying their networks by attracting more women. Through regional gatherings, an annual awards ceremony, an annual conference, and numerous other events, EWiF serves as a valuable community and information hub for its members.

Since 2010, these prestigious awards have been held annually to honour the trailblazers, forward-thinkers, and leaders in the franchising sector. They serve as a platform to celebrate women who defy limitations, establish fresh benchmarks, and triumph over challenges by providing them an opportunity to highlight their achievements in their award submissions, showcasing their remarkable progress throughout the previous year.

Of the EWiF award win Jenna said, ‘“We’re still in shock that we won! This is one award that absolutely means the world to us. Because it not only recognises the success of our core business, but it tells us we’re doing a great job as a franchisor too – helping other women to follow in our footsteps as franchisees of Little Dreams Consulting. We put our heart and soul into supporting our network so that they too can change the lives of so many families struggling with the brutality of sleep deprivation.”

Fay added, “Being a working mum, or a female business owner with a family, is hard work, but it’s doable and so rewarding. We’re passionate about empowering families throughout the country – whether that’s our clients or our franchisees, to get exactly what they want and need from life. Jenna and I were still able to attend almost all school events during the last year. Now that’s an achievement!”
