Plan Burrito Southend

This week has seen the opening of Plan Burrito Southend! It marks their 11th location and shows the strength of the franchise network.

The grand opening on Southend High Street was held on Monday 18th March to a buzzing reception.

New franchisees Riju Vargghese and Sharon Riju have transformed the site, which was a former jewellers, with Plan Burrito’s trademark neon signs and funky décor. They are thrilled to bring the concept, which has seen substantial growth, to Southend.

Who are Plan Burrito?

Plan Burrito are an award winning Tex-Mex street food style restaurant also offering takeaway and delivery services. The menu includes tacos, churros, nachos and a variety of burritos – including the southwest caramel smashed beef burrito which they invented!

They have also become stuff of legend with their Man Vs Plan Burrito challenge. Anyone able to take on the giant burrito (it is quite a feat!) gets a place on the ‘wall of fame.’

Originally opened in 2015 from one location in Loughborough, founder Steve Hopper‘s passion shines through in all locations.

The first franchised location opened in 2022 and Plan Burrito can currently be found in: Loughborough, London, Hitchin, Whitburn, Guildford, Leamington Spa, Ramsgate, Shrewsbury, Norwich, Canterbury, and of course, Southend-On-Sea.
