Cheatmeals is a thriving fast-food restaurant chain, currently boasting 20 (and counting) establishments in London and the Southeast. The company uses both a franchise model and directly manages several of its restaurants.

When they contacted Ashtons to work with them on the franchise they were already well established. Our franchise consultant Charlie Dickson helped them to expand and develop the franchise model further, analyse & update their commercial terms, and prepare detailed franchise documentation including a Franchise Information Memorandum (Disclosure Document).  He also wrote a Franchise Prospectus and the recruitment process with the objective of assisting franchisee enquiries and produced their Franchise Manual.

The brand’s motto is “if you are going to cheat, do it right – come cheat with us”.  The reason behind this is that the first location opened in a fitness club, with the idea being that those following a training regime could occasionally indulge in food they may be craving – hence a ‘cheat meal’! The concept really took off, and as word spread, the opportunity to move to bespoke premises led to the Cheatmeals brand being launched.

The Cheatmeals concept is absolutely perfect for franchising: eye-catching and fun branding, modern and vibrant restaurant design and a fresh and tasty menu. The future looks very promisingly for them.
