Charlie Dickson - Franchise Consultant

Charlie Dickson has an extensive career in franchising, both as a franchisee in his early career with Esso Petroleum and then working for a variety of franchisors in senior management positions in a range of retail, technology, automotive and e-commerce organisations.

This unique experience gives Charlie an in-depth, hands-on understanding of franchising strategy, development and operations.

Charlie has significant experience designing, implementing and operating various franchising models. He was responsible for designing and developing the franchising strategy for the e-commerce tyre retailer, Blackcircles.com (a Michelin subsidiary).

Under his leadership, the franchise network grew from inception to over 1,500 partners within 6 years, resulting in a high quality national partner franchise network, a significant increase in work capacity,  improved customer service experience and a sustainable profit centre for the business.

Charlie has an impressive track record of developing, growing and supporting franchise networks, either in his capacity within management teams or as an independent, franchise consultant with Ashtons.

With strong relationship management skills, Charlie is committed to sharing his knowledge to add value in all aspects of franchising – from the concept stage to franchise models, recruitment as well as on-going support for new or established franchise brands.

At Ashtons, Charlie has worked with corporate and SME clients both in the UK & internationally in a wide range of market sectors to successfully build and launch franchises.  Charlie is proud of his achievements and is focused on offering a personal, professional & dedicated service to his clients.

Charlie is an Affiliate of the bfa (British Franchise Association).

In his spare time, Charlie is a football supporter and enjoys travelling, motorsports, skiing and walking.
