After many years spent running sales forces in the drinks industry, and frustrated with the challenges of recruiting good quality sales people, Richard bought a franchise with an executive sales recruitment consultancy, and enjoyed it so much that he bought out the company three years later.
After 10 successful years building a national network Richard arranged a franchisee buy-out, and went on to train as a Franchise Consultant, using his hard-earned experience to help many companies establish successful Franchise networks. He also heads Ashtons manual writing operation.

With a practical ‘hands on’ background covering all aspects of establishing and running a franchise company, as well as recruiting, training and motivating Franchisees, Richard is ideally placed to help new and existing franchisors to build long term well regarded businesses.
In his quieter times Richard bowls for the County, enjoys walking and continues his considerable interest in the brewing industry!
