What we love about franchising
To celebrate World Franchise Day, we asked our consultants to share what they love most about franchising – and why they’re so passionate about the sector.

The thing I love most about franchising is the opportunity to make dreams a reality. Business owners come to us wishing to expand their businesses – we help them do that. And in turn they help those wishing to start their own business, to become franchisees. It’s the excitement around the opportunity for everyone involved, that gets me jumping out of bed each morning.

What I love most about the franchise world is seeing how the people I work with grow as business owners and leaders. I get really close to my clients, really get to know them well and so love seeing them develop and flourish, not just their business as new franchisors, but as individuals learning new skills and expanding their knowledge, as they challenge themselves to be successful with their franchise.

As a franchise consultant and franchisor I see value in many different aspects of franchising. Looking back on the journey, and building the network to a very different level, the thing I loved most was the way we created an “all for one and one for all family” within TaxAssist that has led to the franchisees owning the bulk of the TaxAssist business today. Seeing this in the sector is the thing I love most when I see franchise networks working in collaboration with the franchisor for “Mutual Success”.

What I love about franchising is the positivity that the sector generates. From clients’ ambitions to grow their businesses, to franchisees joining a brand and fulfilling an ambition to own their own business, to suppliers who service franchising, there is a very evident enthusiastic attitude. This constructive, can-do outlook delivers results in terms of growth, a successful network and a genuine team spirit that delivers a supportive, encouraging environment. After over 40 yrs in the sector, it’s still fantastic to be part of such a positive, diverse business sector.
Final thoughts
It’s clear from speaking to our consultants that franchising is about more than just expanding businesses – it’s about building communities. There’s a real sense of belonging within successful franchise networks. Franchisors and franchisees work together to grow stronger, support one another, and succeed together.
You only have to attend one of the many franchise exhibitions held in the UK each year to pick up on the passion and enthusiasm within the sector. These events are filled with ambitious business owners, experienced franchisors, and new franchisees eager to learn, share ideas, and grow. The buzz in the room is contagious. Moreover it reflects exactly why so many of us love being part of this vibrant industry.
